CHALCO's AH shares surged in tandem, with its A shares extending gains for six consecutive sessions and H shares rising for five straight days, both reaching fresh periodic highs. As of press time, CHALCO's H shares rose 2.39% to HK$9.41.
The rally followed the company's Q3 2025 earnings report. For the first three quarters, revenue reached RMB176.52 billion (+1.6% YoY), with net profit attributable to shareholders at RMB10.87 billion (+20.6% YoY). Adjusted net profit stood at RMB10.72 billion (+22.9% YoY). Q3 revenue came in at RMB60.12 billion (-4.7% YoY), while quarterly net profit grew 7.6% QoQ and 90% YoY to RMB3.8 billion.
Industrial analysts noted that Shanghai copper and aluminum prices recently approached previous highs amid inventory drawdowns, supported by improving macro conditions. Downstream demand rebounded after price corrections, while better-than-expected PMI data from Europe and the U.S., coupled with rising expectations for Fed rate cuts, bolstered the outlook. With current valuations remaining low and strong Q3 earnings reports emerging, copper and aluminum producers like CHALCO could see upward revisions to 2025-2026 earnings forecasts.
