On August 4, Roundhill Memory ETF rose 5.14% in pre-market trading, trading at $53.77/share with turnover of $93.46 million. The rally was driven by news that Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron have completed 2027 full-year capacity allocation negotiations ahead of schedule, with all DRAM and HBM capacity fully sold out.

Industry sources revealed that HBM and AI server-related applications now account for nearly 70% of DRAM capacity, significantly constraining supply for PC and smartphone segments. NAND Flash capacity is also expected to be fully booked by end of August. SK Group previously warned that 2027 could face the most severe supply-demand imbalance in history, with AI semiconductor demand potentially surging 60-100% year-over-year. Suppliers can reportedly fulfill only 60-70% of customer demand, leaving smaller buyers facing potential shortages.

The ETF had fallen over 5% in the prior session due to deleveraging pressure in Korean memory stocks, with SK Hynix dropping nearly 9% and Samsung declining over 8%. The current rebound is primarily driven by confirmation of the capacity sell-out, reinforcing expectations that memory pricing will remain elevated through 2027.
