On September 28, Municipal Party Secretary Yang Jun conducted a comprehensive research visit in Mangbang Town and Wuhe Township of Tengchong City, inspecting ecological environmental protection, rural revitalization, industrial development, and high-quality educational development on the ground, while also delivering a briefing on the spirit of Baoshan City's Sixth Party Congress to grassroots cadres and the public.
He emphasized the need to carry forward the perseverance of water dripping through stone, to work tirelessly and skillfully, and to forge a path of high-quality development suited to Tengchong's actual conditions.
At the waste treatment plant in Chenghe Village of Mangbang Town and the Wanling Group in Lianmeng Village of Wuhe Township, Yang Jun inspected the operation of waste and sewage treatment facilities and researched non-point source pollution control in the Longchuan River basin.
Yang Jun required that the river and lake chief responsibility system be strengthened, adhering to protection-first and rational utilization principles to achieve fishery-based water management and a virtuous cycle of water ecology. He called for deepening rural living environment improvements, focusing on key areas such as ditch banks and areas around homes to carry out "look-back" waste management efforts, ensuring full coverage with no blind spots. He urged the promotion and use of simple "large three-compartment" and "small three-compartment" sewage treatment facilities based on rural realities, continuously enhancing pollution treatment efficiency and improving rural living environments.
At the honeysuckle planting base in Mangbang Town, the goose farm in Zhangjia Village, and the Youzuo Woju homestay, as well as the highway coffee shop in Tenglang Village and Palian Village of Wuhe Township, Yang Jun inspected the development of specialty industries and rural cultural tourism operations, engaging in in-depth exchanges with grassroots cadres and business operators.
Yang Jun stressed the need to leverage resource endowments, vigorously develop Tengchong's traditional Chinese medicine industry, steadily advance the breeding industry, protect and utilize germplasm resources and improve fine breed propagation, strengthen interest linkage mechanisms connecting farmers, extend industrial chains, and increase product added value. He called for deep integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, taking a distinctive and differentiated approach, tapping into local cultural connotations, preserving traditional village features, retaining rural charm, exploring cooperative operation models and new business formats to attract visitors, continuously gathering popularity and stimulating vitality, and fully addressing the "two five questions" of sustained income growth for the people.
At Longjiang Middle School and Wuhe Central Primary School, Yang Jun interacted warmly with teachers and students, learning in detail about school management and student development, briefing on the Party Congress's deployment requirements for high-quality educational development, and encouraging schools to focus on habit formation and integrated education, striving to create a positive teaching atmosphere.
