Huaqin Co., Ltd. (HUAQIN) disclosed that wholly owned subsidiary Huaqin Telecom Hong Kong Limited bought 3.12 million H-shares of Nexchip Semiconductor on 20 July 2026 through the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The transaction, executed at an average price of HK$29.92 per share, totalled HK$93.22 million and was funded entirely from internal cash resources.

Following the purchase, HUAQIN’s aggregate stake in Nexchip Semiconductor has risen to 10.62 % of the foundry’s issued share capital. The latest deal follows a series of share accumulations completed within the past 12 months: 6.0 % in August 2025, 5.0 % in May 2026, and a combined 0.55 % acquired on 10, 16 and 17 July 2026. Under Hong Kong Listing Rule 14.22, the transactions are aggregated; the relevant percentage ratios exceed 5 % but remain below 25 %, classifying the activity as a discloseable transaction that requires announcement but not shareholder approval.

Management stated the enlarged position reflects confidence in Nexchip’s long-term prospects and is expected to deepen upstream–downstream collaboration across the semiconductor supply chain. The group emphasised that no proceeds from its recent global offering were deployed and that the investment will not materially affect its financial position.

Nexchip Semiconductor, dual-listed in Shanghai (STAR Market) and Hong Kong, reported the following China Accounting Standards-based results: • FY 2025 revenue: RMB 10.89 billion (up from RMB 9.25 billion in 2024); • FY 2025 profit after tax: RMB 0.47 billion; • Q1 2026 revenue: RMB 2.91 billion with profit after tax of RMB 0.03 billion.

As at 31 March 2026, Nexchip held total assets of RMB 54.71 billion and net assets attributable to shareholders of RMB 21.92 billion, supporting HUAQIN’s view of the foundry’s strategic value.
