**Analysts "Lack Inspiration" Following Apple Product Launch, DA Davidson Downgrades Rating**

DA Davidson downgraded Apple's rating from Buy to Neutral while maintaining its $250 price target. Apple shares traded roughly flat in pre-market trading Thursday but showed upward momentum.

Analysts led by Gil Luria stated: "While we were initially excited about Apple's prospects in the AI ecosystem and potential for a significant upgrade cycle, we have come to realize that neither is likely to materialize in the near term."

The analysts noted that recent product launches left them "lacking inspiration," believing Apple may not significantly leverage artificial intelligence in the short term. "Unless they can redefine existing products or develop compelling new offerings, we believe growth will remain constrained under current conditions. Therefore, we are downgrading Apple to 'Neutral' while maintaining our $250 price target," Luria and his team stated.

On Tuesday, Apple unveiled its latest iPhone series, including the thinner new iPhone Air. Besides the iPhone Air, the company also introduced the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The analysts stated they don't question the utility of these products, but beginning with the iPhone, Apple has brought lackluster innovation to its core product lines. Luria and his team said: "The iPhone 16 series and recently launched iPhone 17 and iPhone Air all leave us questioning whether they possess sufficient appeal to justify any meaningful upgrade cycle."

The analysts added that even a foldable iPhone, which they expect to launch next year, may not be enough to motivate average users to upgrade their phones. "Therefore, unless the company can truly innovate its core product lines or develop new product categories to accelerate growth, we won't be impressed."
