On March 10, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, along with eight other departments, released the "Jiangsu Province Brain-Computer Interface Industry Innovation and Development Action Plan." The plan emphasizes enhancing the integration and compatibility of core hardware components—such as sensors, chips, and batteries—with software systems to drive the development of brain-computer interface products that are smarter, lighter, faster, and more energy-efficient.

In the industrial manufacturing sector, efforts will focus on developing wearable brain-state monitoring devices, brain-controlled equipment and robots, and safety early-warning systems. For medical and wellness applications, the plan supports the creation of implantable neuromodulation devices, minimally invasive brain-computer systems for diagnosing and treating brain diseases, and specialized rehabilitation equipment for conditions like stroke and ALS.

In the consumer lifestyle segment, products such as sleep monitoring and intervention systems, attention-training tools, and brain-controlled smart home devices will be developed. The province will regularly select exemplary cases that demonstrate advanced technology, significant results, and potential for widespread adoption, with the best candidates recommended for national recognition.

By 2030, Jiangsu aims to certify no fewer than 30 pioneering and innovative brain-computer interface products.
