Holly Futures has released its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report, detailing progress in emissions reduction, employee welfare and product innovation while reinforcing a multi-tier governance structure.

Environmental metrics improved across the board. Greenhouse-gas emissions fell to 482.78 tCO₂e, down 4.84 % year-on-year, supported by a 4.45 % drop in purchased electricity to 852,380 kWh and a 4.03 % reduction in gasoline consumption to 13.83 kL. Total energy use declined to 119.51 tce, and water consumption was cut to 3,230 tonnes. The firm obtained five classified cybersecurity protection certificates and reported zero environmental penalties in the year.

Green-finance activity accelerated. Holly Futures’ “Insurance + Futures” programme now spans 13 counties in seven provinces, covering eight agricultural products and serving more than 30,000 farmers. In addition, the company added polysilicon futures to its product line, expanding its new-energy coverage on the Guangzhou Futures Exchange to three contracts.

Governance structures were strengthened. The board met nine times during the year, passing 52 resolutions, while the audit, nomination, remuneration, risk and strategy committees met 17 times in total. Eight directors served on the board, with independent directors making up 37.50 % and female representation at 12.50 %.

Compliance and risk management were reinforced through 18 dedicated training sessions totalling 3,200 hours, alongside 42 internal audits that produced 177 rectification recommendations. All new employees signed integrity agreements, maintaining a 100 % completion rate.

Employee development remained a priority. Holly Futures employed 568 staff at year-end, delivered 182 training sessions amounting to 20,009 hours and achieved 100 % health check-up coverage. Female employees accounted for 44.72 % of the workforce, and maternity-leave return-to-work stood at 100 %.

Community and rural revitalisation efforts continued, with 87 assistance agreements signed across 30 locations, procurement of RMB 0.24 million in rural products and recognition via the 2025 “Jun Ding Award for Outstanding Futures Company in Rural Revitalization”.

The report indicates Holly Futures aims to deepen digital transformation, expand green-finance products and further integrate ESG principles into its strategic planning during the next phase of development.
