Recently, the Shanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released a notice confirming 120 enterprises as provincial-level specialized and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for 2026, with a validity period of three years, running from September 2026 to August 2029. Among them, nine enterprises from Changzhi City were successfully selected.

The application and review process strictly followed the guidelines outlined in the "Quality SME Gradient Cultivation Management Measures" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Enterprise Document No. 2 of 2026). Through stages including application collection and material review, a selection of SMEs with outstanding innovation capabilities and deep specialization in niche areas was identified.

These enterprises focus on specific market segments and are characterized by specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative development traits. They serve as key market players in strengthening and supplementing the provincial industrial chain, playing a vital role as a new force in cultivating new quality productive forces and driving industrial transformation.

The notice highlights that specialized and innovative SMEs should continue to concentrate on their core businesses, build competitive advantages, and act as exemplary leaders in specialized, refined, and distinctive development, as well as in innovation capabilities. It also calls on municipal industry and information technology bureaus to fulfill their duties effectively, ensuring proper dynamic management and providing robust support for the growth of these enterprises.
