Kunlun Energy repurchases HKD 116.0 million of shares; 15.58 million shares (0.18%) awaiting cancellation

Kunlun Energy Company Limited disclosed that between 25 March and 28 May 2026 it bought back a cumulative 15.58 million ordinary shares that are earmarked for cancellation. The repurchases, executed entirely on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, equate to approximately 0.18 % of the company’s 8.66 billion issued shares.

The aggregate consideration for the programme reached HKD 115.97 million, implying a volume-weighted average price of about HKD 7.44 per share. Transaction prices ranged from HKD 7.22 to HKD 7.61.

The latest tranche, completed on 28 May 2026, involved 788,000 shares at prices between HKD 7.14 and HKD 7.24, costing HKD 5.69 million.

Despite the buy-backs, Kunlun Energy’s issued share capital remained unchanged at 8,658.80 million shares as of 28 May 2026 pending formal cancellation of the repurchased stock.

Shareholders renewed the company’s buy-back mandate on 28 May 2026, authorising the repurchase of up to 865.88 million shares (10 % of outstanding shares). To date, 0.009 % of that mandate has been utilised. In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, Kunlun Energy is restricted from issuing new shares until 28 June 2026.
