At the 14th Zhongguancun Energy Storage Exhibition held in April 2026, Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. launched the industry's first all-scenario adaptable energy storage conversion platform and a new generation "1+X" modular Power Conversion System (PCS) product. Based on the integration of power electronics, electrochemistry, and grid support technologies, the platform aims to address challenges faced by current energy storage systems across diverse technical pathways and application scenarios, including difficult adaptation, grid connection complexities, complex maintenance, and high costs.

The new product features a modular design, supports a wide voltage range from 600V to 1500V, and is compatible with various energy storage media such as lithium batteries, sodium batteries, flow batteries, flywheels, and supercapacitors. It is suitable for different load scenarios including data centers, mines, and industrial parks. The system achieves a full-load efficiency of 98.5%, operates without derating in environments up to 55°C, and supports millisecond-level power control and high-precision State of Charge (SOC) balancing.

In the event of a fault, a dual-power module design can reduce losses by up to 92%, with key components replaceable within 30 minutes. The platform also integrates grid-forming algorithms, supporting black-start capability and seamless switching between grid-connected and off-grid modes, which have been validated in multiple engineering projects and grid simulations.

Regarding safety, the product incorporates multiple protective measures, including a liquid-electric separation structure, real-time insulation monitoring, intelligent arc extinguishing, and directional explosion-proof technology. Concurrently, Sungrow, in partnership with Germany's TÜV Rheinland, released the "Comprehensive Safety White Paper for Energy Storage," proposing a full-lifecycle, multi-level safety system covering everything from battery cells to the grid, and from design to decommissioning. The white paper emphasizes that "safety originates from design, and verification precedes manufacturing." A representative from TÜV Rheinland Greater China stated that the initiative aims to promote the establishment of more unified and rigorous safety standards within the industry.

Notably, Sungrow has also adjusted its business strategy and will now sell PCS products directly to the market, moving beyond their previous focus on internal use within their own energy storage systems. This shift indicates that their technology platform will be accessible to a broader range of customers and may accelerate progress in industry compatibility and standardization. As global demand for energy storage continues to grow, such systematic solutions are poised to become key infrastructure supporting the industry's scaling and high-quality development.
