Shares of BRAINAURORA-B (06681) have surged more than 26%. At the time of writing, the stock is up 25.6% to HK$2.11, with a turnover of HK$238 million.

The significant move follows a policy announcement. On July 13, 14 departments including the Ministry of Civil Affairs jointly released the "Three-Year Action Plan for Expanding Capacity and Improving Quality in the Rehabilitation Assistive Devices Industry (2026-2028)". The document specifically mentions making breakthroughs in cutting-edge technologies such as brain-computer interface (BCI), rehabilitation and elderly-care robots, and bionic prosthetics.

Analysts have noted that brain-computer interface technology is developing along multiple paths, with the pace of clinical and commercial implementation accelerating, marking the beginning of the industry's commercial transformation phase.

In a related development, BRAINAURORA-B announced in April that it had officially become a strategic partner of the Beijing Frontier Brain-Computer Interface Research Institute.

Furthermore, on the evening of July 13, the company disclosed that its self-developed BrainAuGPT cognitive deep reasoning large model won second place in the 3rd Xiong'an Vertical Large Model (Agent) Application Competition. It was also selected as a typical case of artificial intelligence-enabled scenario applications at the 2026 Global Digital Economy Conference.
