Industry sources disclosed on Thursday that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to visit South Korea later this week for a series of meetings with major corporations and researchers, potentially paving the way for broader collaboration in the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics.

According to the sources, Huang is set to arrive at Seoul's Gimpo International Airport via private jet on Friday afternoon, commencing a four-day visit.

During his trip, Huang is expected to meet with top Korean business leaders, as well as representatives from the gaming industry, AI and robotics startups, university researchers, and students.

On Friday evening, he plans to dine at a Korean barbecue restaurant in Seoul's Seongsu-dong district, where he will meet with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Group Chairman Lee Hae-jin.

Industry observers anticipate that discussions will cover a wide range of potential collaborative areas between NVIDIA and Korean firms, including high-bandwidth memory, AI data centers, autonomous driving, robotics, and physical AI.

Sources indicate that on Sunday, Huang will meet with Kim Taek-jin, CEO of the major Korean gaming company NCSoft.

While the official agenda has not been disclosed, talks are expected to focus on cooperation in gaming and AI.

On Monday, Huang is also scheduled to hold a closed-door meeting in Seoul with executives from South Korean AI and robotics startups.

This marks the first known instance of Huang meeting with founders of local robotics startups in South Korea.

Huang also plans to visit the AI Institute and Robotics Research Center at Seoul National University.

In addition to his scheduled itinerary, it is understood Huang intends to have a face-to-face exchange with university students.

Informed sources revealed that Huang will also meet with Kim Chang-han, executive director of the popular game "PUBG" developer Krafton, along with other company executives, although the exact date for this meeting has not been finalized.

It is highly likely the discussions will center on business collaboration in gaming, covering topics such as NVIDIA's RTX Spark chips for high-end Windows laptops and potential partnerships related to embodied AI.
