Resolute Mining Limited (ASX:RSG) saw its shares plummet 5.34% during intraday trading on Monday, marking a significant decline for the gold mining company.
The sharp drop appears to be linked to news that BlackRock Group and its subsidiaries have reduced their holdings in Resolute Mining. According to a filing with the Australian bourse, BlackRock decreased its stake in the company to 5.08% from 6.2%, representing a reduction of approximately 1.12 percentage points. The move by one of the world's largest asset managers to cut its position may have signaled reduced confidence to other investors, creating selling pressure in the market.
