The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened on November 5. Semiconductor industry supplier ASML Holding NV (ASML) showcased its holistic lithography solutions for mainstream chip markets in the technical equipment exhibition area, integrating lithography machines, computational lithography, and electron beam metrology and inspection technologies. Shen Bo, ASML's Global Executive Vice President and China President, stated that the CIIE serves as a vital platform for China's continued commitment to openness and deepened cooperation. He likened the expo to a bridge that fosters communication across industries while offering a valuable opportunity to showcase the company's image. ASML highly values this platform for exhibition and exchange.

"ASML has participated in the CIIE multiple times. Over the years, our purpose for attending has remained unchanged—to immerse ourselves in the spirit of open cooperation and actively engage with the global supply chain's win-win philosophy," Shen Bo said. Through the CIIE, ASML has strengthened exchanges with partners and the broader industry while witnessing increased public awareness and more objective, comprehensive understanding of the company.

Shen Bo noted that ASML introduced its first lithography machine to China in 1988 and has since cultivated the market for over 30 years. Today, the company employs over 2,000 staff in China, with offices in 17 cities, alongside 15 logistics centers, 3 R&D centers, 1 training center, and 1 maintenance center.

"In China, we have a professional team of more than 1,000 customer service engineers supporting clients in smoothly operating ASML's holistic lithography solutions. Additionally, we’ve established computational lithography and electron beam metrology R&D centers here to provide more efficient support for Chinese customers," Shen Bo added.

He emphasized that China is a key market for ASML, playing a crucial role in the company's global growth and long-term development. According to its recently released Q3 financial data, ASML expects China to account for over 25% of total sales by 2025.

"Chinese domestic brands are emerging as significant market players, even becoming global leaders in sectors like smartphones and electric vehicles. These end markets are semiconductor-intensive, sustaining stable demand across the semiconductor value chain. We also observe AI driving advancements across industries. China’s abundant AI application scenarios are fueling growing demand for mainstream chips, including sensors, power management, and analog devices," Shen Bo remarked.
