A strategic cooperation framework agreement was officially signed in Hangzhou on September 23 between Alibaba Cloud's Feitian Cloud Computing Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen-based Netac Technology Co., Ltd. Li Jin, Senior Vice President of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group and President of its Government and Enterprise Business Division, along with Jiang Wenhong, Deputy Mayor of Shaoguan City, attended the ceremony and witnessed the signing.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will leverage Shaoguan's advantages as a data center cluster location and its established computing power industry foundation. By combining Alibaba Cloud's cutting-edge core technologies, T-Head chip expertise, and AI ecosystem resources with Netac Technology's hardware manufacturing capabilities and distribution network, they aim to deeply integrate upstream and downstream supply chain resources to establish computing server and hardware industry projects. The initiative seeks to build an independent and controllable industrial ecosystem encompassing chips, servers, and integrated AI hardware and software, ultimately creating a benchmark smart computing industry demonstration base for the South China region.
Both companies stated that, taking this framework agreement as a springboard, they will work in tandem with the Shaoguan local government and industrial platforms. They intend to actively integrate into the broader development landscape of Shaoguan's computing power sector, accelerate the implementation of collaborative projects, and jointly deliver more mutually beneficial landmark achievements to contribute to the city's high-quality development.
Currently, Shaoguan is making significant strides in advancing the construction of its data center cluster, with the goal of establishing itself as a "smart computing city" that is rooted locally, serves the Greater Bay Area, connects nationwide, and extends its reach to Southeast Asia. As a national hub node for the integrated computing network within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shaoguan boasts distinct advantages in geography, climate, network infrastructure, and overall operational costs, positioning it as the largest intelligent computing agglomeration area in South China.
The deepened collaboration between Netac Technology and Alibaba Cloud fully harnesses Alibaba Cloud's technological and ecological strengths, aligning closely with the development direction of Shaoguan's computing power industry. This partnership will further strengthen and extend the industrial chain, injecting robust momentum into the high-quality growth of Shaoguan's computing industry.
