AEON STORES (00984) announced that on September 29, 2025, the company's non-wholly owned subsidiary AEON Guangdong (as lessee) entered into a lease agreement with lessor Dongguan Ruiguan Property Development Co., Ltd. for the rental of premises with a lease term of 12 years and 6 months from the commencement date. AEON Guangdong will lease the premises from the lessor to operate its retail business. The Group's principal business involves operating retail operations in Hong Kong and China through chain stores under the brand names "AEON STYLE", "AEON", and "AEON SUPERMARKET". Due to the nature of its retail business, the Group needs to enter into lease agreements from time to time to rent retail outlets. Each retail store, particularly large-format stores similar to this premises, contributes to and maintains the Group's operational scale, which in turn benefits the Group by reducing overall operating costs, strengthening the Group's negotiating power with business partners, and expanding its store network and market share.
