Anjoy Foods Releases 2025 ESG Report: Sets 2030 Carbon-Intensity Cut of 18% and Posts 6% Reduction in Total Emissions for 2025

Anjoy Foods published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance Report, outlining quantitative environmental targets and detailing performance across climate, resource efficiency, product responsibility and governance.

Key environmental metrics • Total greenhouse-gas emissions decreased 6% year on year to 520,114 tCO₂e; Scope 1 accounted for 133,959 tCO₂e and Scope 2 for 386,155 tCO₂e. • Carbon-emission intensity fell 12% to 32.12 tCO₂e per RMB million of revenue. • By 2030 the company aims to cut combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions per unit of revenue by 18% from the 2024 baseline and reduce energy intensity by 10%. • Direct and indirect energy consumption totalled 130,161 tce, with 51.85% sourced from purchased electricity and 17.40% from natural gas; biomass steam and green power certificates contributed 18.30% of the mix. • Self-generated and purchased photovoltaic power reached 1.84 million kWh; green-electricity purchases added 5.46 million kWh. • Water-reuse rate stood at 97%, with reclaimed-water consumption of 567,263 tonnes.

Pollutant and waste control • Waste-water discharge met 100% compliance, with COD at 41.10 tonnes and NH₃-N at 6.58 tonnes. • Hazardous waste was 52.70 tonnes, non-hazardous waste 49,007.95 tonnes; 24,939.29 tonnes of waste were recycled. • No major environmental penalties or incidents occurred during the year.

Supply-chain and product responsibility • The group worked with 3,202 suppliers; 82.17% were local. • Cod surimi procurement is 100% MSC-certified, soybean-protein raw materials are 100% non-GMO and IP-certified, and sustainably-certified palm-oil factories supplied 73.2% of purchases, with a >90% target set for 2027. • No product recalls were recorded; first-pass yield and product-inspection pass rates remained at 100%.

Social performance • Headcount reached 17,100; training coverage was 100% with an average of 17 training hours per employee. • The company recorded zero work-related fatalities and invested RMB 19.72 million in safety. • Public-welfare spending totalled RMB 4.61 million, of which RMB 6.81 million purchases of local agricultural produce benefited more than 5,000 rural households.

Governance highlights • The board convened 10 meetings, approving 59 resolutions; independent directors represent 36% of the 11-member board. • No corruption or data-privacy incidents were reported; anti-bribery training covered 101 employees, including all directors and senior management.

Anjoy Foods stated that dual-listing on the Hong Kong and Shanghai exchanges will support accelerated international expansion while the A+H platform provides additional oversight for ongoing ESG initiatives.
