At the Chuanshan port area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port, the vessel "MSC Josefina" successfully completed ship-to-ship bonded LNG bunkering, bringing the total number of bonded LNG bunkering operations for international ships at Ningbo Zhoushan Port to over 100 vessel calls.
This milestone signifies that the port's green marine fuel service has achieved a leapfrog development from pilot exploration to large-scale, routine operation over the course of more than three years.
As the global shipping industry continues its deep green and low-carbon transition, LNG, as a clean and low-carbon marine fuel, is seeing continuously expanding application scale, and bonded LNG bunkering service capability has become an important indicator for measuring the comprehensive service level of a world-class port.
In response to the characteristics of LNG bunkering operations, Ningbo Customs has fully implemented the "supply first, declare later" model, allowing bunkering to begin as soon as a vessel berths, with customs declaration procedures handled collectively after bunkering is completed.
The port also routinely operates a "one-time reloading, continuous bunkering within the port (one bunker vessel serving multiple ships)" mechanism, enabling bunker vessels to continuously provide bunkering services to multiple international ships, effectively enhancing the overall efficiency of bunkering operations.
