Oracle Secures $150 Billion in Data Center Lease Agreements for Q4

Oracle disclosed in a recent securities filing that it signed approximately $150 billion worth of data center lease commitments in the three months ending November. This move signals the company's preparation to support cloud business collaborations with clients like OpenAI.

According to the filing, as of November 30, Oracle held $248 billion in lease commitments, "substantially all related to data center and cloud computing capacity arrangements." These commitments, effective from now through fiscal 2028, have yet to be reflected on the balance sheet. Compared to previous filings, Oracle reported $99.8 billion in new lease commitments as of August 31, up sharply from $43.4 billion as of May.

Additionally, Oracle's total customer commitments reached $523 billion as of November 30, spanning over five years. The company noted that 10% of these commitments are expected to be recognized within the next 12 months, while 65% will be recognized within five years.
