HK Stock Alert: Keymed Bio Surges Over 3% on Landmark Licensing Deal with Aeira

Shares of KEYMED BIO-B (02162) climbed more than 3% in Hong Kong trading, last up 2.83% at HK$79.95 with turnover reaching HK$70.71 million. The rally follows the company's announcement of an exclusive licensing agreement with multinational pharmaceutical firm Aeira Pte. Ltd.

Under the deal, Keymed will collaborate with Aeira on the registration and commercialization of its self-developed anti-IL-4Rα monoclonal antibody, Dupilumab Injection (brand name: Kangyueda®), across Southeast Asia and Central Asia. Keymed stands to receive upfront payments, milestone payments tied to regulatory approvals in various countries, and commercialization milestone payments. Additionally, the company is entitled to royalties calculated at up to high double-digit percentages of net product sales in the licensed territories.

Aeira will take charge of regulatory filings and commercialization across 18 countries and regions, including 11 Southeast Asian nations (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam), 5 Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan), as well as Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR. Keymed will continue to handle manufacturing and product supply for Dupilumab Injection on behalf of Aeira.
