Market sources indicate that Fu Yue (Yuyi), the head of data and security for ByteDance's Seed AI division, will be leaving the company in the near future.

His position is expected to be filled by Wang Yinglei (Adam Wang), currently the head of TikTok's platform responsibility team and a former leader of TikTok's live streaming operations. ByteDance has not yet issued an official statement regarding this development.

According to the reports, Fu Yue reports directly to Wu Yonghui within Seed, having previously overseen Global Data before becoming the top executive for AI data and security. Public records show Fu Yue earned his undergraduate degree from Peking University, followed by an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.

Fu Yue joined ByteDance in 2018, holding key roles in TikTok's trust and safety department and later in TikTok's e-commerce operations. He left the company in 2022 to start his own venture but returned in October 2023 to take charge of ByteDance's training data operations.
