At 2:30 PM on October 14th, it was discovered that the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) gold accumulation product on Alipay is currently unavailable for new account openings, with the system displaying a message indicating temporary unavailability due to system maintenance.

The gold accumulation product is a gold investment product issued by banks. Currently, only ICBC's gold accumulation product can be purchased through Alipay. According to product-related notices, starting from August 28, 2025, Ant Fortune ICBC gold accumulation customers can enjoy zero handling fees when purchasing ICBC gold accumulation products through active accumulation methods. The selling transaction fee remains unchanged at 0.5% of the transaction amount (with a minimum fee of 0.01 yuan per transaction). The promotional offer is valid until November 8, 2025.

On October 14th, spot gold prices initially rose before declining. As of publication, gold had fallen below $4,100 per ounce, currently trading at $4,090 per ounce.
