Sunshine Oilsands Ltd. (SUNSHINE OIL) reported that Chief Executive Officer Doug Brown, P. Eng, resigned effective 12 August 2026 (Calgary time) to focus on personal affairs.

Brown confirmed there is no disagreement with the Board or the Company, and no other matters need to be brought to the attention of shareholders or The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

The Board has begun a search for a successor; until an appointment is made, existing executive directors will oversee day-to-day operations.

Executive Chairman Kwok Ping Sun, on behalf of the Board, expressed gratitude for Brown’s contributions during his tenure.

As of the announcement date, the Board comprises two executive directors, two non-executive directors and three independent non-executive directors.
