On the morning of April 20th, Sichuan Changjiang Vocational College formally entered into a cooperation agreement with China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. (CIMC) to jointly initiate a "Smart Manufacturing Blue-Collar" custom training program. This initiative is focused on the smart manufacturing sector, aiming to cultivate high-skilled talents through targeted training. The program is designed to enable graduates to secure employment immediately after graduation and perform competently upon starting their positions.

The jointly established program will feature two core specializations: Automation and Industrial Robotics, developed in response to industry demands. By restructuring the curriculum and introducing courses earlier, the program seeks to address the current shortage of talent in high-end manufacturing. The selection process for students will begin during the enrollment phase. Participants will systematically learn essential skills, including automation control, industrial robot operation, programming, maintenance, and management, supplemented by hands-on internship training on the production frontlines. This approach adopts a dual-path strategy for vocational talent development, emphasizing both a solid foundational knowledge and strong practical application.

Regarding career progression for graduates of the program, it was noted that opportunities are abundant. The current development path for production talent is not a rigid, "silo-style" progression but rather exists between traditional industrial workers and management roles. This requires students to not only master production technologies but also understand management principles and possess an innovative spirit. Their career development is expected to transcend traditional expectations.

For both the educational institution and the enterprise, this agreement is not their first venture into "customized training." The implementation of this program is seen as a crucial step in deeply integrating the education chain and talent chain with the industry chain and innovation chain. The college and the company plan to co-train a team of "three mentors" comprising campus instructors, corporate mentors, and vocational literacy teachers. They will employ a modular approach to collaborative teaching, ensuring that talent cultivation is closely aligned with corporate needs.
