China Coal Energy Company Limited (601898.SH) has released its latest operational data, revealing that commercial coal production reached 10.08 million tonnes in August. This figure represents a year-on-year decrease of 13.1% for the month.

Despite the production decline, commercial coal sales demonstrated resilience, climbing to 21.39 million tonnes in August. This marks a year-on-year growth of 2.6% compared to the same period last year.

Breaking down the sales figures, sales of self-produced commercial coal amounted to 10.43 million tonnes during the month. This component saw a year-on-year decline of 9.4% from the corresponding period in the prior year.
