Winshine Science has published its 2025 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report covering the 12 months to 31 December 2025, with data drawn primarily from its Toys Division, which accounted for 100% of group revenue.

Environmental Performance • Greenhouse-gas emissions dropped to 5,453.77 tCO₂e, a year-on-year reduction of 1.05%. • Direct (Scope 1) emissions fell 5.46% to 169.23 tCO₂e, driven by lower vehicle fuel use. Indirect electricity-related (Scope 2) emissions slipped 0.90% to 5,235.34 tCO₂e. • Electricity consumption edged up 0.28% to 9.87 million kWh; water usage declined 1.01% to 192,181 m³. • Packaging and other waste fell 22.15% to 2,030 tonnes, while hazardous waste rose 15.38% to 75 tonnes due to changes in production mix. • No breaches of environmental laws or pollution incidents were recorded for the year.

Targets and Strategy • The board has endorsed reduction goals of 2-3% for Scope 1, Scope 3 (Category 3) and electricity-related emissions, alongside 2-3% cuts in electricity and water intensity. • A long-term objective to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 has been set, with a low-carbon transition plan in development. • Climate-related risk governance follows HKEX ESG Code and TCFD guidance, incorporating scenario analysis under both high- and low-emission pathways. Acute risks (typhoons, heavy rain, flooding) and chronic heat stress are identified as key physical threats; policy, technology, and reputation form the main transition risks.

Social Metrics • Headcount stood at 1,461 (60% female), down 11.65% from 2024; workforce turnover eased to 46%. • No work-related fatalities were reported for the third consecutive year; 179 lost days were logged. • Employees received an average of 39 training hours, up from 32 hours in 2024. • The company remained free of non-compliance cases relating to labour standards, occupational safety, product responsibility, data privacy or anti-corruption.

Supply Chain & Product Responsibility • Registered suppliers totalled 257, with annual reviews confirming compliance with quality, environmental and social criteria. • All products meet ISO 9001, GMP, CE, C-TPAT and other international safety standards; no product recalls or material customer complaints occurred in 2025.

Outlook Board-level oversight of ESG, adherence to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 systems, and incremental decarbonisation targets position Winshine Science for continued operational resilience amid tightening regulatory and stakeholder expectations on sustainability.
