CHERY AUTO's stock surged 5.40% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of the company's March sales figures that showed robust growth and strong performance in key markets.
The automaker reported a 15% year-over-year increase in total sales volume for March 2026, reaching 228,451 vehicles. This growth was primarily driven by the core CHERY brand, which saw deliveries jump 38.8% to 163,507 units, accounting for approximately 72% of the group's monthly total.
International markets contributed significantly to the positive results, with exports comprising about 64% of March shipments. Particularly noteworthy was the company's performance in Italy, where Chery's Omoda/Jaecoo brands recorded a staggering 258% year-over-year sales increase. Additionally, new-energy vehicles represented 27.4% of March sales volume, highlighting the company's progress in the electric vehicle segment.
