Century Entertainment International Holdings Limited (stock code: 959) issued a supplemental announcement concerning a past connected transaction related to a deposit of HK$8.19 million. The deposit was paid in 2021 to Lion King, a company wholly owned by an executive director who is also a substantial shareholder, making it a connected person under Chapter 14A of the Listing Rules.

The deposit served as a refundable security payment for gaming table business arrangements, including preparatory operations and staff training. The Board has acknowledged that this payment was not disclosed when it occurred, constituting a breach of the Listing Rules. Since the transaction’s applicable percentage ratios were below 25% and the total consideration was under HK$10 million, only reporting and announcement requirements were mandated at the time.

The Board regrets the non-compliance and plans to implement remedial measures to strengthen internal controls and regulatory oversight. Trading in the company’s shares remains suspended from 9:00 a.m. on 26 June 2025 until further notice.
