Great Wall Motor (GWMOTOR) spends HKD 42.71 million on H-share buyback, cutting free float by 0.18%

Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWMOTOR) disclosed a next-day return confirming the repurchase of 4.12 million H-shares on 5 June 2026 via the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The transaction reduced the company’s issued H-shares (excluding treasury shares) from 2.32 billion to 2.31 billion, a decrease of 0.18%. The repurchased shares are being retained in treasury, lifting treasury holdings to 4.12 million shares.

Purchase prices ranged between HKD 10.29 and HKD 10.43 per share, with a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 10.371. The aggregate cash outlay totalled HKD 42.71 million.

The buyback was executed under the mandate approved on 18 June 2025, which authorises repurchases of up to 231.88 million shares. Following this transaction, 227.76 million shares, or 98.22% of the mandate capacity, remain available.

In accordance with Main Board Rule 10.06(3)(a), the company is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury-share sales until 5 July 2026. All repurchase procedures complied with the Hong Kong listing rules and relevant regulatory requirements.
