Fujian province has announced an expansion of its 2026 smart home product purchase subsidy program, effective from July 22nd through the end of the year. This move aims to further stimulate consumer spending in the smart home sector.
The expanded program builds on the existing framework outlined in the "Fujian Province 2026 Smart Home Product Purchase Subsidy Implementation Rules" (Min Business Regulation [2026] No. 6). The new announcement broadens the range of eligible products.
Expanded Subsidy Categories:
The subsidy now covers additional categories beyond the current list. Specifically, the program now includes:
- Five new product types: digital cameras (including action cameras), smart range hoods, smart gas stoves (including integrated cooktops), smart dishwashers, and smart clothes dryers.
- The existing smart massage chair category has been optimized to include smart sofas under the same subsidy umbrella.
Subsidy Standards:
- For individual consumers purchasing any of the five newly added smart home products, the government will provide a subsidy of 15% of the final sales price after all discounts. Each consumer can receive a subsidy for one item per product category, with a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan per item.
- For individual consumers purchasing a smart massage chair (including smart sofas), the subsidy is also 15% of the final sales price after all discounts. Each consumer can receive a subsidy for one item within this category. However, consumers cannot claim a subsidy for both a smart massage chair and a smart sofa separately. The maximum subsidy per item is 1,500 yuan.
This announcement takes effect immediately and is valid until December 31, 2026. The program is jointly issued by the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, the Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and the Fujian Provincial Department of Finance.
