Shares of CIG (06166) climbed more than 5% in Tuesday's session, last trading up 5.22% at HK$124.9 with turnover reaching HK$1.285 billion. The move comes as investors reacted positively to the company's latest operational updates disclosed during an investor relations event on September 4.

At the event, Chairman Huang Gang revealed that in the pluggable module segment, the 800G products have successfully completed certification with multiple major clients and are now shipping in volume. Meanwhile, the 1.6T version is slated for mass production in the second half of this year, and the 3.2T product is progressing according to its planned roadmap. Regarding pricing, the current 800G module price range sits between $300 and $380, averaging around $350, with expectations that future annual price declines will remain moderate.

According to Everbright Securities, based on company disclosures, the monthly optical module production capacity as of September 2026 has already achieved an annualized target of no less than 6 million units. There is now potential to reach the 10 million-unit level within the year—approximately double the initial year-end capacity goal. Additionally, the company believes NPO represents a clear future industry direction and is currently engaged in joint development efforts with several clients. Notably, the NPO research and development progress is ahead of the original schedule, with plans to unveil the first three prototype units by the end of September 2026 and complete relevant testing by year-end.
