It is home to nearly 200 enterprises in the sector, including industry leaders such as the State Grid Electric Power Research Institute (NARI Group) and the China Electric Power Research Institute, achieving comprehensive coverage across the entire chain from generation, grid, load, and storage to regulation.

Leveraging its existing industrial foundation and the leadership of major firms, Jiangning District is now targeting the multi-billion-yuan distribution network SST market. The focus is on accelerating the development and manufacturing of core equipment and system integration. The district is speeding up the construction of solid-state transformer projects and related applications, actively fostering a cohort of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, such as Hongjing Intelligent and Zhongdian Transformer. These efforts are aimed at cultivating a regionally influential solid-state transformer industrial cluster.
