The UK's Financial Conduct Authority has initiated an inquiry into Euro Exchange Securities UK, a firm now under scrutiny for suspected regulatory breaches. The investigation, as detailed in an official statement, focuses on potential violations tied to counter-terrorism financing and anti-money laundering protocols.

The FCA alleges that between 1 February 2020 and 4 June 2026, the firm may have contravened the Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017. Specifically, the regulator suspects that adequate measures to identify and assess money laundering risks were not implemented by the company.

Additionally, the FCA has indicated that the firm might have failed to establish and enforce the necessary policies, controls, and procedures designed to effectively mitigate and manage such financial risks. It was further noted that the inquiry remains in its preliminary stages, with no final conclusions yet reached regarding the facts of the case or whether the company has indeed breached the regulations.
