Memory chip stocks rallied broadly, with SanDisk up over 5%, Seagate up over 4%, and Micron, Western Digital, and SK Hynix each up over 3%. Looking ahead to Q3, while the pace of price increases may moderate, supply constraints driven by HBM capacity allocation are expected to keep the supply-demand balance tight in the near term. SK Hynix CEO previously stated that the global memory chip shortage could persist through the end of the decade.
