Agricultural Bank of China Appoints President Wang Zhiheng as Concurrent Chief Compliance Officer

On February 13, Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) announced a board resolution approving the proposal to appoint Mr. Wang Zhiheng as the concurrent Chief Compliance Officer of the bank. The appointment is effective immediately from the date of the board's approval.

According to his resume, Mr. Wang Zhiheng was born in June 1973 and holds a master's degree in economics from Nankai University. He assumed the role of President of ABC in June 2024 and has served as Vice Chairman, Executive Director, and President since September 2024. His previous positions include Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Department at Bank of China, Vice President of the Guangdong Provincial Branch, President of the Qinghai Provincial Branch, General Manager of the Human Resources Department at the head office, and President of the Beijing Branch. In August 2021, he was appointed Vice President of Bank of China. In February 2023, he became an Executive Director of China Everbright Group, and in March 2023, he served as an Executive Director of China Everbright Group and an Executive Director and President of China Everbright Bank.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed and approved adjustments to the special committee members of ABC's board. It was decided that Zhang Hongwu will serve on the Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development Committee, the Rural Finance and Inclusive Finance Development Committee, the Risk Management and Consumer Rights Protection Committee, and the U.S. Regional Institution Risk Committee. Zhuang Yumin was appointed as a member of the Audit Committee and will no longer serve on the Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development Committee.
