WEX Inc announced on Tuesday that it has been named by Forbes as one of America's Best Employers for Company Culture in 2026.

This accolade highlights the company's ongoing commitment to fostering a positive workplace environment and enhancing the employee experience.

The Selection Process

Forbes partnered with the market research firm Statista to conduct an independent survey of over 50,000 employees working at U.S. companies with more than 1,000 staff members.

The survey sample included professionals from various industries, with participants anonymously rating their own company's culture and also providing feedback on other organizations they know or admire.

The final list of recognized companies represents those with cultures that employees "recognize, value, and prioritize."

WEX's Core Values and Initiatives

As a global provider of business payment solutions and information services, WEX has long emphasized a people-first core value.

The company's practices in areas such as employee development, diversity and inclusion, and flexible work arrangements were key factors in receiving this recognition.

In recent years, WEX has launched several internal initiatives, including employee resource groups, mental health support programs, and leadership development pathways, all aimed at fostering a work environment built on trust and collaboration.

Leadership Perspective

WEX CEO Melissa Smith stated in an internal communication, "Our culture is the foundation of our success. Our proudest moments come from seeing our employees feel valued, empowered, and connected in their work. This award reflects the collective spirit of our entire team, who live our values every day."

Recent Accolades and Financial Outlook

This award marks the second employer-brand recognition for WEX in a short period.

Just last week, the company was named by Newsweek as one of America's Most Responsible Companies for 2026.

Furthermore, in its first-quarter earnings report, WEX reaffirmed its full-year performance guidance, projecting total 2026 revenue to be between $2.74 billion and $2.79 billion, with adjusted earnings per share expected to range from $15.30 to $15.80.
