Shares of Advanced Energy Industries (AEIS) surged 9.66% in after-hours trading following the release of the company's second-quarter financial results.
The company reported adjusted earnings of $2.74 per share, significantly exceeding the analyst consensus estimate of $2.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $574.1 million, up 30% year-over-year and well above the $542.8 million consensus. The strong performance was driven by record semiconductor equipment revenue, which grew 33% to $278.3 million, and broad demand strength across all markets.
Looking ahead, Advanced Energy provided third-quarter guidance that also surpassed expectations. The company forecast adjusted EPS of $3.00 plus or minus $0.25, compared to the consensus estimate of $2.46, and revenue of $640 million plus or minus $20 million, versus the expected $576.3 million. Management cited continued demand strengthening and expects profitable growth into 2027.
