Iraq's Oil Ministry spokesperson Salim Al-Rikabi stated that constructing a new pipeline from the Basra oil fields to Haditha, with onward branches to Syria's Banias and Turkey's Ceyhan, would likely take two to three years after an agreement is finalized.
The proposed pipeline is designed with a potential export capacity of up to 2 million barrels per day, with the total project cost estimated at approximately $15 billion.
