Chifeng City Tops Regional Rankings in Coal-to-Gas Production Capacity

Deep News
06/09

The annual production capacity for coal-to-natural gas in Chifeng City has reached 2.66 billion cubic meters, securing the top position within the region.

An overview of primary energy product output for the period from January to April this year indicates that Chifeng City experienced a decline in raw coal production, a steady increase in coal-to-gas output, short-term pressure on crude oil production, and stable operation in new energy power generation.

During the first four months of the year, coal-to-natural gas production in Chifeng increased by 109 million cubic meters year-on-year, representing a growth rate of 12.7%. This has further alleviated regional natural gas supply pressures and stabilized the foundational supply of clean energy.

The supply of new energy in Chifeng remained generally stable from January to April. The city's new energy power generation reached 6.118 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for nearly half of the total power generation from industrial enterprises above a designated size during the same period. New energy is progressively becoming a core growth driver and a crucial supporting force in the power supply mix, demonstrating significant effects in the green transformation of the energy structure.

Within this, wind power, as the primary source of new energy, contributed 5.563 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, constituting over 90% of the total new energy power generation and fully leveraging its role as an industrial pillar.
