Expedia Group (EXPE) shares surged 6.36% in after-hours trading on Wednesday, following the release of second-quarter financial results that handily beat Wall Street expectations and an upward revision to its full-year outlook.

The online travel giant reported adjusted earnings per share of $5.76, surpassing the analyst consensus of $5.23 by 10.13%. Revenue climbed 14% year-over-year to $4.315 billion, topping estimates of $4.175 billion. Gross bookings grew 12% to $33.93 billion, also ahead of forecasts. The company’s B2B segment was a standout, with gross bookings up 21% and revenue rising 23%, while the consumer-facing B2C business posted 8% gross bookings growth.

Expedia raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now projecting gross bookings of $129.5 billion to $130.8 billion, up from a prior range of $127 billion to $129 billion, and revenue of $16.05 billion to $16.22 billion, versus $15.6 billion to $16.0 billion previously. CEO Ariane Gorin attributed the strong performance to resilient domestic travel demand, sustained B2B momentum, and disciplined execution, noting that U.S. domestic bookings are outpacing cross-border travel, supported by events like the FIFA World Cup and concert tourism.
