The Mid-Autumn holiday has ended and the National Day holiday is not far off, with airfare prices across many locations experiencing a "sharp plunge." Those who need it should hurry to "snag a deal." 😍😍😍 During the National Day holiday, there are also good fares available.
Su Xiaoxin checked relevant platforms and found that during the National Day holiday period (Oct 1–7), one-way tickets from multiple domestic cities are as low as just over 300 yuan. For example, on October 2, a Shanghai-to-Wenzhou ticket costs 210 yuan; on October 3, a Shanghai-to-Anshun ticket costs 390 yuan. Fares in the latter half of the National Day holiday are even more "tempting." On October 5, a Shanghai-to-Guilin ticket costs 270 yuan; on October 5, a Shanghai-to-Weihai ticket costs 260 yuan. Departing from Shuofang Airport also offers good deals, with flights to Qingdao, Dalian, Tongren, Kunming and other destinations available at fares in the low 300-yuan range.
Traveling during off-peak times offers more choices and better value. If you want to avoid the National Day peak, off-peak travel in October is more cost-effective. After the National Day holiday ends, departing from Shanghai for 200 yuan can take you to Lijiang, Shenyang, Weihai, Tongliao, Jieyang and other places, with multiple time slots to choose from. If departing from Shuofang Airport, for just over 200 yuan you can reach Jieyang, Yantai, Dalian, Zunyi, Guangzhou, Fuzhou and more.
According to data from third-party travel platforms, after the National Day holiday, airfare prices from Shanghai to Hailar and Baishan have seen maximum drops exceeding 80%, while maximum drops to Kashgar, Ulanhot, Dali and Chongqing also exceed 70%. Departing from Shuofang Airport, ticket prices to Shenzhen, Hailar, Shenyang, Urumqi, Lijiang and others have dropped by more than 60%.
Platform data shows that this year's Mid-Autumn and National Day "double holiday" average airfare prices hit their lowest level for the same period in nearly three years. From September 27 to October 1, airfare prices in many places plunged sharply, with average ticket prices on some popular routes more than 10% lower than last year. Will you take advantage of the sharp drop in airfare prices to go out and travel? Let's chat in the comments~
