MEITU (01357) Reports Interim Results with Profit Attributable to Shareholders of RMB 397 Million, Up 30.84% YoY; MAU and Paid Subscribers Achieve Strong Growth

MEITU (01357) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, reporting revenue of RMB 1.821 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 12.34%. Gross profit reached RMB 1.34 billion, up 27.26% year-on-year, while profit attributable to shareholders totaled RMB 397 million, marking a 30.84% increase compared to the same period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at RMB 0.09, and the company proposed an interim dividend of HK$0.045 per ordinary share.

According to the announcement, the revenue growth was primarily driven by the rapid expansion of the subscription-based imaging and design products business, which was attributed to the increase in paid subscription users during the six months ended June 30, 2025.

The Group's imaging and design products business maintained strong growth momentum. For the six months ended June 30, 2025, revenue surged 45.2% year-on-year to RMB 1.3514 billion (compared to RMB 930.6 million for the six months ended June 30, 2024). The increase in paid subscription users served as the core driver for revenue expansion.

As of June 30, 2025, the Group's paid subscription users increased by over 42.0% year-on-year to approximately 15.4 million, with a subscription penetration rate of 5.5%. Furthermore, compared to December 2024, the Group observed accelerated growth in paid subscription users for lifestyle applications and productivity tools, with productivity tools leading the growth in both mainland China and overseas markets.

This growth trend reflects the steady advancement of the Group's "Productivity and Globalization" strategy and validates the company's ability to understand user aesthetic needs and develop quality products for vertical scenarios.

In terms of user metrics, both MAU and paid subscription users achieved robust growth. As of June 2025, the Group's total MAU reached 280 million, with overseas MAU growing 15.3% year-on-year to 98 million. Total paid subscription users increased by over 42.0% year-on-year to approximately 15.4 million, of which 1.8 million came from productivity tools.

These improvements in financial and operational indicators further validate the effectiveness of the "Productivity and Globalization" strategy and demonstrate the empowering effect of AI technology on product capabilities.
