At the launch event for the new five-seater version of the NIO ES8, the company's founder, chairman, and CEO, Li Bin, delivered a presentation.

When discussing the interior space of the new ES8 model, Li Bin highlighted its capability to comfortably accommodate five passengers along with 21 pieces of luggage. This includes 17 standard 20-inch carry-on suitcases, four 14-inch suitcases, and four backpacks.

During the event, a live demonstration was conducted to show the ES8 successfully loading all 21 items. Li Bin used the occasion to issue a direct challenge to the luxury sedan market, stating, "Five people and 21 suitcases with no stress, separate passenger and storage areas elegantly handled—it's time for luxury cars to upgrade."
