Hong Kong Dollar Interbank Rates Mostly Climb as One-Month HIBOR Adds 2.179 Bps to 2.57655%

On August 18, Hong Kong dollar interbank offered rates (HIBOR) saw a broad uptick across most tenors. The one-month rate, which is closely tied to mortgage pricing, rose by 2.179 basis points to settle at 2.57655%.

The three-month rate, a key indicator of bank funding costs, edged up 0.215 basis points to 2.88792%. Meanwhile, the overnight rate climbed 18.965 basis points to 2.31286%, and the one-week rate increased 10.286 basis points to 2.28935%.

Moving further along the curve, the two-week rate gained 15.851 basis points to 2.44643%, while the two-month rate advanced 0.708 basis points to 2.80708%. On the longer end, the six-month rate inched up 0.071 basis points to 3.18744%, whereas the one-year rate slipped 1.399 basis points to 3.50000%.
