On September 1st, a report revealed that multiple food companies' livestream channels have issues with unclear ingredient list disclosures, with some products requiring consumers to place orders before obtaining accurate information. The companies involved include Haidilao, EAST BUY, and Gaotu Jiaping.

When contacted for comment regarding this matter, EAST BUY has not yet provided a response.

According to the report, on July 25th at 20:50 and August 20th at 17:14, the "EAST BUY Fresh Food" livestream channel was selling braised duck gizzards and hand-torn beef products without displaying ingredient lists on the detail pages. The pages only showed "see packaging for ingredient list" or displayed only nutritional information. Customer service representatives only provided ingredient lists when specifically asked and stated they would report the issue of undisclosed ingredient lists to the operations department.
