Apple has opened testing for Apple Intelligence alongside its latest iOS developer Beta, allowing users to directly access Qwen's text and image understanding, content generation, and other capabilities within Siri, Writing Tools, and Visual Intelligence.
A test conducted found that users can perform basic question-and-answer sessions, image and text analysis, and content generation on their iPhone, with more advanced requests redirecting directly to the Qwen App where conversation data syncs automatically for a seamless experience.
Users can independently choose whether to activate the Qwen integration feature. Once enabled, they can sign in through Apple Login or use their own Qwen App account to access Qwen within Siri, Visual Intelligence, and Writing Tools.
For instance, when asking Siri "I have been sleeping poorly lately, what can I do to improve," Siri immediately invokes Qwen to provide general sleep recommendations. For more personalized solutions, users can tap the Qwen logo to jump to the Qwen App.
Qwen can then analyze potential factors affecting sleep by combining the user's previous sleep records, exercise patterns, and daily habits to develop a personalized improvement plan.
Currently, users in China who have purchased an iPhone supporting Apple Intelligence, or whose device location and Apple account country/region are both set to China, can already experience these features through the latest iOS developer Beta version.
