On the evening of October 11, a user reported that when registering for NetEase Cloud Music with a newly obtained phone number, they automatically logged into singer Coco Lee's account after receiving the verification code. The user was able to access the account's backend and view memorial messages sent by fans.
In response to this incident, NetEase Cloud Music's official customer service account issued a statement explaining that the issue arose because the phone number previously bound to the artist's account was recycled by the telecom operator for reuse. The company has already contacted the new phone number owner to address the situation accordingly.
According to the information provided, if the new number owner wishes to use a fresh account, they can apply for unbinding through their telecom operator's mobile application. Under normal circumstances, they will be able to register a new NetEase Cloud Music account with their phone number after a 24-hour waiting period.
