Zhongyu Energy repurchases 1.00 million shares, treasury stock rises to 31.50 million

On 27 May 2026, Zhongyu Energy Holdings Limited executed an on-market buyback of 1.00 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The shares were repurchased at prices ranging between HKD 2.69 and HKD 2.74, translating into a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 2.72 per share and a total cash outlay of HKD 2.72 million. All repurchased shares are being held as treasury stock.

Post-transaction, Zhongyu Energy’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) stands at 2.72 billion shares, marginally down by 0.04%. Treasury shares have increased to 31.50 million, while the company’s total issued share count remains unchanged at 2.75 billion.

The buyback forms part of the mandate approved on 2 June 2025, which authorises repurchases of up to 277.18 million shares. Including the latest transaction, the company has repurchased 31.50 million shares under this mandate, representing 1.14% of the issued share base at the mandate’s approval date.

In line with Hong Kong listing rules, Zhongyu Energy is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury share disposals until 26 June 2026. The board confirmed that the repurchase complied with all regulatory and procedural requirements.
