Shares of Lenovo Group (00992) climbed more than 5% in Monday's session, building on Friday's gains. As of the time of writing, the stock traded 5.13% higher at HK$36.08, with turnover reaching HK$1.591 billion.

At the "AI Investment Summit" held on September 16, Lenovo's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Zheng Xiaoming addressed the company's long-term valuation concerns, stating that the current market assessment has failed to fully capture the company's revenue, profitability, and growth prospects. Using Dell Technologies as a benchmark, he noted, "Our valuation sits at roughly one-seventh of Dell's, yet our revenue and net profit are not seven times lower. By that measure, we are thoroughly undervalued by the market."

Zheng further pointed out that the growth opportunities Lenovo currently sees are backed by tangible orders and real customer demand. The company also sees room for further optimization in its operational areas, including client expansion and pricing strategies. Additionally, as segments like storage and services continue to develop, Lenovo retains substantial headroom for business growth and margin enhancement.

He emphasized that Lenovo's long-term net profit margin could reach between 5% and 8%, aligning with Dell's profitability levels, reinforcing the view that the company's current valuation does not reflect its potential.
