Starting at 24:00 today (September 11), the nation has implemented temporary regulatory measures on refined oil product prices. Following these adjustments, domestic gasoline and diesel (standard product) prices will effectively rise by 260 yuan and 250 yuan per tonne, respectively.

Since the domestic refined oil price adjustment on August 28, the conflict between the US and Iran has escalated once again, causing international crude oil prices to continue their significant surge. Notably, crude oil prices in the Middle East region have experienced another abnormal spike.

In order to mitigate the impact of rising international oil prices on the domestic market, ensure stable economic operations, and safeguard people's livelihoods, temporary regulatory measures on domestic refined oil prices have been adopted while maintaining the framework of the current pricing mechanism. According to calculations under the existing pricing system, domestic gasoline and diesel (standard product) prices on September 11 should have been raised by 435 yuan and 420 yuan per tonne, respectively. However, after the regulatory intervention, the actual increases are 260 yuan and 250 yuan per tonne.

The National Development and Reform Commission will guide refined oil production and sales enterprises to make every effort in production and transportation to ensure stable market supply. Additionally, it will cooperate with relevant departments to intensify market supervision and inspection efforts, strictly crack down on illegal and non-compliant activities such as failing to implement national pricing policies, effectively maintaining market order, and protecting consumer interests.
